Don't know if I've seen this particular oddity posted before. In my car, certain points in certain songs, and very frequently when listening to AM radio (think sporting events), I get a resonance in the dash from the H/K speakers. The volume has to be up pretty loud (like top open, windows down, on the freeway, with the volume loud enough to hear clearly) for it to happen. But when it does, it is painful. I know I am getting one of the plastic dash panels to resonate at a certain frequency and it is vibrating off of its neighbor, but I can't find the source for anything.

The sound is a high pitched squelching type sound. Hard to describe, but painful to hear.

If anyone has had this and fixed it, I'd love to hear how.

One of the CD's that does it frequently is Fly By Night by Rush, probably because of Geddy's high pitched voice.

I was one of the first here on the NAM to start complaining about the rattles associated with what the HK system makes, but this one I've not heard. Although when I listen to AM, admittedly I don't have it cranked like I do for CDs or certain FM stations.
