replacing component speakers in mini

ive got the door panels and old speakers taken out. i bought the wife some pioneer 6.5" components, how do i wire them up without hardwiring them? do i have to buy a harness? if so, who sells it? i saw the how to that one guy did but all he said was the brown wire is the negative. i have a factory harness and i really didnt want to get into hardwirings, as im not very mechanically inclined, just do paint & body work

Big, big question. Do you have the HK system? If you do all of the stock system is set to work with 2-ohm speakers, which mean your 4 or 8 ohm pioneers will only have 1/2 to 1/4 the max output. Also, all of the crossovers for the system are held in the HK amp in the back of the car...

If you dont have the HK system then I dont think it is much different then a regular speaker install. Check the how to section.
