What is the Current Mini Garmin Model?
Does anyone know what the current Mini-Branded Garmin model is as of May 2009? I have asked my MA many times and she has failed to ever get the info to me.
My mini is scheduled to complete assembly today and I'd like to have a new GPS when it arrives. I'm afraid the Mini models are all out of date (discontinued) though and for the $399 they are charging it should be the latest and greatest nuvi.

Well for 399 you could get a much more up-to-date GPS and with a slight amount of work there are a few good mounting options. The MINI add on is a Garmin 350 which is pretty out od date.
KUDA mount. Which is my mount of choice. It puts the GPS right next to the Speedo, just above the right, driver's air vent. Sear the site. The are quite a few threads on its pros and cons.
Craven mount. Attacheds to the back of the Speedo and the arm can be positioned where ever you like. It is on the Vendors list and one or two vendors sell it.
Pro Clip. Not a bad option. I just don't like the position it is in.
These will range from 50 to 95 dollars and there are numerous threads on here. My somewhat dubious opinions are that the 399 could be better spent on a much nicer Garmin. I think the 760 is going for around 250 or so on ebay and you can do you own personlization of the car icon and the start-up splash screen [do a thread search on NAM. Plus you do get a fairly decent MP3 player with the Garmin which the MINI dealer add on does not have. Bottom line. What ever you feel is right for you is the best way to go.

Does anyone know where to find a Mini vehicle image to be loaded on a Garmin? The only difference I can see between the Mini GPS for $399 compared to the the Nuvi 265T for $179 (from Amazon) is the cool little checkerboard roof Mini.
The Nuvi lets owners add vehicle images but the options don't include my sweet Charlene (name of Clubman and reference from Full Metal Jacket movie. http://www8.garmin.com/vehicles/bund...lvehicles.html

BBCooper is the master of MINI graphics for the Garmin. You'll find a ton of resources using this link:

That's how I got my splash screen and my PW/B icon.
