Tell me if you like your OEM sirius!!!

Okay, as I made mention of it, I am contemplating going back to the dealer and having them install OEM sirius in my '09 JCW.

I like the clean look without the clutter of wires and crap everywhere like I did on my '08.

I haven't decided to reuse my XM unit or talk to the dealer but Monday I'll go get some labor quotes. (I can use my bodyshop to get 25% off list price of the part itself)

I ask because though I like the clean look of the Nav, I wasn't overly impressed with it when I got a chance to try it.

So, for those that have it or added it, would you do it again?

Thanks,

Mark

Yes, I love my Sirius. It is on 100% of the time I am in the car. Very easy to use with 12 preset stations as well. (at least that's how it works with nav).

I have it in my car but find I spend more time listening to my IPOD than SIRIUS. The quality is not as good as the Ipod or regular FM and also not as good as the XM radio I had in a previous car. If I had it to do over again, I would have done without the SIRIUS. Probably won't pay for it again after the initial one yea runs out.

I was pretty set to add it this week but after finding out it cost 500+ dollars (which I could swallow) but I can't swallow the 300+ dollars to install it.

I'm not paying almost 900 dollars for XM.

I totally agree! I love having the integration and the ability to voice command the Sirius radio, but it sounds terrible compared to the add-in XM that I had in my '06 MCS. Even FM sounds better than the built-in Sirius. If I weren't on a lifetime plan, I would cancel it and use the 8GB flash drive that I have plugged in instead.

BTW, Sirius switched around a few channels about 4 months ago and while my XM radios have all updated themselves, the built-in Sirius radio in the car still has the old channel names. I don't know if this is a Sirius issue or a MINI Sirius radio issue, but it's just plain stupid.
