Front speaker mesh

Hello,

I cracked a lower front speaker mesh, i want to repair it. How do i remove it from the door panel?

Do i remove the door panel and access it from behind, or is there a procedure to pop it off the door panel?

I know some of you changed the speakers so you must have some idea on how this is done.

Thanks.

You will have to remove the door panel. Check the sticky in this forum for R56 speaker replacement. It has exactly what you asked for.

You'll have to remove the door panel

I just finished working on my speakers and snapped a pic for you. The grill is installed on the panel by melting the plastic tabs. It looks that you'll have to crack those tabs to get the grill out:

Anyway, taking out the panel is a easy job, 5 minutes max. Good luck.
