First two buttons you mention are both for the bluetooth phone integration that almost none of the cars have... but every car with the multifunction steering wheel gets those buttons, which do nothing without the bluetooth kit.

Many ways to integrate iPods / iPhones - see the Nav/Audio forum on NAM. Visit EAS and newministuff.com for more info and ideas.

I'm a Garmin Nuvi fan. First decide how you want to mount your GPS - again, many threads on that in the Nav/Audio forum. That will determine what mounts are available for what portable nav units. Then it's just a matter of what features you want and what you want to spend.

For the "full blown" OEM Bluetooth kit (i.e. maximum integration), it's crazy expensive. Think ~$2,000 installed, most likely. To fully utilize it, you have to also have (or install) the OEM armrest, so the dock can be placed inside of it.

It's really only worth considering if you also have the factory Nav, as it is the only Bluetooth kit available that fully takes advantage of the Nav screen. It also takes advantage of the factory-installed 05/06 Bluetooth steering wheel buttons.

However, there are many ways to get Bluetooth into the car, including a second (much less expensive - probably ~$700 installed) OEM kit, which doesn't have a dock, doesn't integrate with the Nav, and includes a keypad that is mounted on one of the downtubes to operate it.

There are also aftermarket Bluetooth kits that tap into the steering wheel buttons, which is nice. Plenty of info here on this forum - just search it for "Bluetooth".
