Basic MINI CD player and Bluetooth???

Hi everyone I just have a quick question...
I have the really basic radio system on my 2008 MCS (the one that does not play MP3) and I have the sport steering wheel with the buttons. Does anyone know if I can retrofit the bluetooth???

no dealer retrofit kit yet, but there is an aftermarket option via newministuff.com. i installed their EVO kit. uses the steering wheel buttons including the volume. they also have a kit with a separate display to show the number. odd thing with it vs. the EVO kit is you can't adjust volume with the steering wheel buttons only answer/end calls. neither kit shows the phone number on the radio, but it does display "TELEPHONE" when in use.

install is not easy but doable with patience. instructions are as clear as they can be. i've removed my radio several time now and it takes me less than 30 minutes. first time took hours.

There's also a kit called the mObridge- it's pricey, but is similar to the OEM functionality and includes some other functions, such as an iPod connection.

If you burn a CD with MP3 files even the standard radio will play them.

As lancing said not dealer retrofit kit. but it is possible to go the OEM way but the cost will be over 2K in parts plus labor to take half of the car apart so you are probably looking at 4K+ to go the OEM route.

Parrot or mObridge would be the way to go.
