Running stock factory stereo w/0 harmon kardon and w/o nav, what part do i need to run sirius?? i already have an account with them just need the conversion or whatever THANKS

 

Are you looking for the OEM Sirius integration or aftermarket?

Keep in mind that Sirius/XM are headed towards bankruptcy so, if anything, I would not invest a lot of $$$ into a receiver.

 

OEM, as far as the bankrupt thing goes ill believe when i see it or i mean dont hear it

 

the main part is the tuner/receiver,(65 12 0 416 377) which is often just a silver metal box that is hidden in the car.you also need an Antenna (65 20 0 034 887), and an installation kit. Other than the MINI dealer, im not sure where else you can get the setup...im sure there are cheaper options, but ive always ran a stiletto, so I dont know much about finding it.

and i wouldn't worry about them going bankrupt. They just have a lot of start up costs and debts that need to be paid soon. if they cant do it...there are several parties who are interested in buying them and covering the loans. its a very profitable business...but launching all those satellites and paying for howard stern isnt cheap!
