iPhone 3G MINI Bluetooth connection

fyi,

just wanted others to know that the iphone 3G syncs, loads phonebook, sends and receives calls with my '08 mcs cabrio w/nav without issue! i have not put music on it, so i can't comment on the i pod interface yet (i have the oem/glovebox hook up). i can tell you that the oem connection does not charge the iphone. no biggie, as i'm keeping my ipod in the mini's glove box for full time audio.

I guess I'll need to start keeping a list for the first gen system too.

well here's more info than u would probably care for....but that's what u get for being the unofficial expert in mini/bluetoothism.

i attempted to cram 8 years of palm treo contacts and calender info into the iphone today . good news, all the contacts transferred! bad news, only 3 years of the calender info made it over....and after "the great data migration" the phone book wouldn't load in the mini and the bluetooth started acting weird . i decided to wipe the contacts and calender info from the iphone and start over . which turned out to be a good idea . i then entered the contacts i really use, and decided to start the calender anew (i've been here before switching from sharp wizard to palm os). and now everything works fine again . so there u have it. thanks again nicknbecka for all the time and effort you've put into this issue!!!

Any idea how many contacts you might have had? The system in the R56 starts to flake out in the near-1000 range.

Thanks for the update, it's somewhere to start for the 1st Gen systems anyway. I'll probably go digging through the forums here to update the list. I recently added a 1st Gen tab to the Bluetooth spreadsheet, once I've got more than one phone in it I may try and solicit some requests.
