New Car Stereo

Finally, I was able to replace the Hi-Fi system out of my MCS. I went to Kartunz out in Pleasanton and they did a phenomenal job. I replaced all front speakers with Hertz component setup with built in crossover. I had Tommy who is the owner of the shop make me custom sub enclosure where the 6x9 use to be to house an 8 inch subwoofer. He completely dynomatted the entire trunk and front speakers.

He does all High End cars and has done quite a few Mini's as well. You can check out some of his work at www.kartunz.com or go by his shop.

Let him know I sent you and he would give you a good price.

Jeff

Speakers

I bought the HSK 165 Hi Energy Comp and HSK 130 with the Audison SRX 4 channel amp. The price wasnt too bad all in all I paid about $4k since there was a lot of labor involved. The system sounds awesome. The components are bright and clear and it is not too basey since it is only 8's but just right.

FuPac,

You are obviously not married. My wife would NEVER let me spend 4K on a sound system for my car. I got in troubkle when I spent 100 dollars on my Kuda mount for my GPS!

I think I'll change my my screen name and add P.W. to it.

Wsup P.W.
J/K Yeah I am not married but my girl is very understanding. As long as I can still cover the mortgage she is ok on what I spend. You just got to ease it in slowly to your WIFEY. Just buy her a few nice things and then just throw down on what you want so she doesn't feel left out.

But I do buy her nice things and I still get grief! You should see the top of the line Dyson vacuum cleaner i bought her, not to mention the VERY nice iron and the whole series of workout DVD's with several closeup photos of her rear end so she can measure the progress.

NOTE: Ladies, I am just joking here. Please, no PM's or nasty-grams
