Hey everyone! I went ahead and made a video of the full speedometer removal on an R56. This was the last day that I saw my MINI before it got totaled...

Enjoy!

P.S. My new MINI is awaiting transport!!

Awesome video! This will certainly help a lot of people. Brings back joyful but masochistic memories.

I'll bet! Well, i'll have some more memories to make once my new R56 gets here... And I'll be sure and film it all! Yay!

Anyway, think a mod can fix my youtube links? They're acting stupid...

I posted your videos below. I hit the YouTube icon in the message edit window and inserted the video id's in between. The youtube video id it the letter/numbers after 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v='.

This is great, thanks a lot. Now how about a video taking out the secret compartment? I see you have an iPod connection there and I figure you'll want to take it out for your new ride anyway right?

No prob! And I might just take you up on that... I'm thinking I might install a security cam that automatically syncs to my server at home whenever the car's parked... That might be a good place to put it!

Good video!

I have a Kuda mount to install for my GPS and need to pull the speedometer bezel. Your video cleared up my concerns regarding the directions received with the mount.

Thanks for the video, it's going to make my installation a lot easier. I am installing an amp and have a couple questions. The red wiring that you can see in the video, was that speaker wire that you spliced onto the speaker wire from the harness?
Thanks,
Adrian

To the OP, you said in one of the videos that you would post dimensions of the hole under the passenger seat, did I miss those or were you going to post them?

This worked for me as well! Now I feel good about removing the dash panels for wire concealment and covering the panels with carbon fiber vinyl.

The work was easy.

Updated the video in the first post. Merged the videos together since youtube now allows videos longer than 10 minutes! Glad it's been useful for everyone!
