AD2P ?

This may be a dumb question and I think I already know the answer, but here goes. Is the mini's bluetooth AD2P capable? This would easily allow an ipod when attached to a wireless bluetooth adapter, like the Sony TMR-BT8IP, to play over the stereo without cables (although not charge it). This seems like it should be something mini could easily integrate if they wanted to! I have a Parrot MK6100 bluetooth installed in my truck and it works great for getting phone calls over the stereo and listening to my ipod wirelessly with the bluetooth adapter.

AD2P ?

Here is a picture of it.

Sony TMR-BT8IP - black from Sony in Accessories

$50 to $70 at 12 stores
This convenient transmitter lets you enjoy your iPod music wirelessly on a compatible Bluetooth sound system. It doesn't use a battery, and draws minimal power from the iPod. Basic functions can be controlled from a compatible Bluetooth headset with AVRCP compatibility. The compact size and simple operation make the TMR-BT8IP transmitter a must-have accessory for true music lovers. It is designed for any iPod with dock connector (30-pin).

I highly doubt it. The bluetooth function in the Mini is limited to the phone.

I would be more than happy to be proved wrong though.

At the current time the Mini is NOT AD2P compatible.

They are having enough trouble getting the bluetooth phone stuff to work properly with other than just afew phones (most of this is becuase of the phone manufacturers inablility to make a phone correctly blueetooth compliant).

iPods will only work thru a aux type input to the radio.

1. iPod addapter which takes up the CD player input and puts the iPod data on the screen and teh iPod in the secret compartment. Control is thru the radio controls.

2. USB/iPod connection At bottom of center stack, puts iPod or music on an USB deivce (USB stick) data on the screen. Control is thru the radio controls.

Yes it would be nice for AD2P integration but the sound quqlity of AD2P is also very bad.
