Aux port install question

Is it possible to install the aux port without removing my euroshelf? The clips that hold the shelf on are messed up and the fewer times I need to go in there the better.

If I pull pull out the downtubes, can I pull out the radio far enough to do what needs to be done? I want to run the aux port down to the botoom of the center console.

Thanks!

Yes, you'll be able to pull the headunit completely out after dealing with the downtubes. In an '06, drop the downtubes after removing the side screws, then the tops can be spread apart to expose the headunit screws.

If you don't have Nav, you should be able to just plug in the Aux by feel - it goes in the lower left hand corner (looking at the HU as installed.)
