Gibberish in bluetooth phone list

I have a Samsung t629 phone from T-Mobile which i have paired with my 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman's built-in navigation system. It syncs fine except that the phone list entries get corrupted -- the ends of the names will have gibberish from the previous entries -- for example

JANE SULLIVAN
JUDY TAYLORAN (should be JUDY TAYLOR, not TAYLORAN)

Has anyone else seen this?

I have not seen this but Samsung has been know to do some funky things with its bluetooth stuff.

I am not sure if it is possible for you to down load and save your contacts list and then clear the phone. If it is then what you may want to try is to clear the phone and add one contact, Sync the phone and check the result. if it is good then add another and check it again. if it is good then try again.

There may be just one contact that is bad an causing the whole problem, and by clearing that one contact and adding them back one by one you could find that one contact.

Just a suggestion.

Yeah- I think schatzy's suggestion is a good one. As far as I can tell, you're the first report for the T629.

If that doesn't work, it looks like there was a firmware update. Maybe check and see if you're running the latest: Rev 0.2a T629UVFG8
