Removal of small front speaker covers>>>

I have the Chrome Line small speaker covers... any trick to removing the speaker covers? Most info on forum about the subject references the R53 or replacing speakers... I just want to switch out the covers.
Thanks for you guidance
Michael

You need to remove the mirror control. Then the whole cover will pop off. It has tabs that lock into the door panel. That would take the whole "pod" off that covers the mid-range speaker. I don't know about the ring that is replaced by a chrome one. It is probably attached to that pod some how.

I found the easiest way to 'pop' off the speaker cover (as noted by Minidrivr after you remove the mirror controller...you just carefully lift at edges and it will release from the cover) is to use a synthetic trim removal tool and work cover from front and it pops right off>>>
