Hey there - not sure if this is a Canadian-specific question or not, but was wondering if anyone with a KRZR from Rogers has successfully paired for Bluetooth functionality with the R56/R55?

I have a KRZR K1 with software version R4527_G_08.42.0ER

This version is not mentioned specifically on the wireless4mini.com site, but is listed as compatible on the BMW Bluetooth bulletin, dated Dec/07.

With BT on, and the phone set to "discoverable", the MINI head unit doesn't even find it - like there's nothing to pair with.

Any thoughts or words of advice?

Out of curiosity, have you been able to pair the same phone with anything else?

 

Just as a update...

1) I got this working.
2) I had previously, successfully paired this phone with my iMac.
3) I'm stupid - at home the iMac searches for the phone (after you make the phone discoverable). I was expecting the same with the MINI BT. That was my problem. I had to use the phone to search for the MINI! Using the "search for audio devices" option in the phone, it found the MINI right away, and pairing was simple after that.

 

Cool- searching for an audio device does seem a bit counter-intuitive, I'll add it to the notes for the phone.
