DICE iPod not registering
Hi All:
This is the first time posting here so I hope it's in the right forum. I have a 2006 MINI Cooper (no GPS, Bluetooth or XM radio installed just the DICE for my iPod) I had it installed in March of this year (it was a birthday present) and has worked WONDERFULLY until yesterday. I took my iPod out and then replaced it when I returned to the car and despite being attached correctly, it says it's DETACHED yet it's registering with the DICE because the check mark and OK to disconnect message is on the iPod screen. I have tried rebooting my iPod, turning the stereo on and off, turning the car on and off but nothing is working at all. I ended up putting a CD in and that worked fine but then I tried reconnecting the iPod and it didn't register at all (I removed the CD just to see if that was sending mixed signals but it would only say NO CD. Any clues on how to fix this??? EAS did the install for me. If need be, I can make the trek back to them to fix but would rather not since it would mean taking time off of work.
Any advice would be great

This not going to sound fun but here is what you need to do.
Disconnect BOTH battery terminals
Then take both leads and touch them together (this discharges the little power left in the wiring and will not hurt you or the MINI. There will be a very minimal spark)
DO NOT TOUCH ONE TO THE OTHER WHILE ITS CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY
Re-attach each lead to the battery, ground first.
Start the MINI and your ready to go

It's FIXED!
Well the hubby is still sick with bronchitis so I just had one of my corporate bosses do the battery disconnect reconnect thing (couldn't get the leads to touch but we saw and heard a little spark so figured we did it right) and my iPod is working once again
THANKS SO MUCH!
