So is it possible to install new front component speakers and use them with the Harman Kardon amp? From searching I have gathered that the current HK speakers are 2 ohm. So if you get any high quality component speakers that are 2 ohm will they work? Recently I was on crutchfields website and when searching for component speakers they actually designate whether or not the car has the HK upgraded sound system or not. I am assuming any speaker they bring back for a car with HK would be a drop in replacement...?

Here is the reason I ask. There are a lot of songs that have this static sound coming from the tweeters. I thought it was possible an amp problem so found a replacement and after installing it it still made the same problem. I doubt the speakers are blown so either the HK tweeters are just really harsh or their is some other problem.

I would be interested to find out if a high quality component system would stop the static on certain songs or if its coming from some other piece of HK electrical equipment than the amp...
