Navigation & Audio Bluetooth Affected By New Phone Case???
Bluetooth Affected By New Phone Case???
I have what may be a dumb question, but here goes:
My Motorola RAZR2 V9m synched with the MINI Bluetooth system just fine. The system worked flawlessly. Whenever a call came in to my phone, the car system grabbed it. I would never hear a peep out of the phone, itself.
About a week ago, I bought a clear plastic/rubber-like phone case for the RAZR at one of those Kiosks in the mall. (Verizon seems unable to get the OEM case and only has the cheap, clip-on hard plastic holder available) Ever since then, when a call comes in, the phone itself rings several times before the MINI Bluetooth hears it and transfers the incoming call to the car. I've dropped a few calls too.
Is it possible that this new, after-market case is causing a degradation of the phone's bluetooth connectivity?
Any thoughts???
Thanks, Rich

I think as we all know "Anything Is Possible" but this seems very unlikely. Your best bet is to remove it from the phone. leave in in your house and then go for a drive and have someone call you. If it doe not happen for a few days then put the case back on and repeat the testing. If it starts happening again then it is definately causing the problem.
On the other hand if it is the rubber type case you speak of make sure that it is not depressing any of the buttons on the side or face of the phone one of these may be causing the problem.
I had a leather case one time that depressed one of the buttons on the side of my phone causing it to be put on vibrate all the time. It took me three seeks to figure out what was going on as when it had the leather case on i never heard it ring so i did not think i had any calls but then i would check my voice mail and find 3,4,5,6, call s missed. Got rid of the case ans all my problems went away.
