Just got a letter from MINI in which they "fess up" about the neglected activation of the Voice Activation and Real Time Traffic Information on my Clubman S which I have had since 3/8/08. I understand that several hundred cars that were ordered with Nav. had that problem in a particular early production run in 08.

They told me to call my dealer re service information bulletin numbers M65 03 08 and M65 05 08. A fix is here.

Hooray! My faith in BMW is restored!

 

amini at the dealer was in the shop.they forgot to add a mic.....

 

I had heard from the dealer that the addition of the mike was a fix for a problem coupe but that the Clubman required a lot more.

Wish it had been just the mike.

The dealer had insisted that a car without bluetooth,, was a car without voice command..

i hope they are wrong..

 

I got the same letter, and took a trip to my dealership to get it taken care of along with a couple other items. However, I still don't see any kind of traffic info even when driving through downtown Chicago, and my voice command button on the steering wheel doesn't work at all.

Guess I have to take another trip to my dealer. Rather frustrating as it is a three hour drive each way.
