Hi all,
I just got my first mini (pepper white clubman). I got the handsfree blue tooth set up and love it, only one problem. When I press the voice dialing button on my steering wheel the voice command asks what I want to do and when I say "dial so and so" (someone in my address book) it says my phone book is empty. I have a 1st gen iphone and it pairs and I can dial and receive calls via the dash but the hands free dialing has stymied me. Any help would be appreciative as the instruction manual doesn't address this.

Sounds like you have a car without the Nav system, which means you'd need to add a voice tag to dial by name.

Unless they've changed the manual, there's actually a couple of typos that make things pretty confusing. Shatzy62 has a great run-down of all the correct voice commands and the process to record a voice tag here.
