Lowering the headliner

I need to lower just the very front of the headliner to get my BT mic routed into the little panel for it by the sunroof controls (I swapped the sunroof control and the mic area last summer, just was afraid to tackle the headliner).

This weekend someone told me I can get the front of it lowered (I only need a few inches, really) by taking out the screws in all 3 sun visors and the passenger-side "oh $#*!" handle.

Is this true? I can't find any write up other than a complete removal, which I don't need. I just need the front driver's side corner loose enough so I can finagle the mic under and through to the little slot in the panel.
