My VERY high-tech SIRIUS mounting setup...
So... the window mount system for my Xact Sirrius radio blows. I looked at the other systems to mount it: problem is, the downtube systems mount to where the cup holder is, and I use that, so a center-mount system would be best. Second problem - nobody makes those.
Enter the ImagoX High-Tek(TM) Sirrius mounting bracket (sorry for the slightly blurry photos, but I wasn't about to get my whole tripod just for a few quickie shots):

Yep... that's right. This is $.50 of 1" brass strip (any train store has it for about $2 a peice and I used about a quarter of the strip for one bracket), bent into a 45-degree angle. I coated it with rubber tool handle dip so it wouldn't slide then slid the bracket between the switch panel and the climate control. The radio is affixed to the bracket with Velcro.

When driving, this thing bounces a little bit, but seeing as there's no moving parts in the receiver, I'm not worried. The rubber holds it into the gap like grim death even though no fasteners are employed - I accidentally kneed the receiver getting into the car while I was adjusting the final radio placement hard enough to knock the receiver right off the bracket, but the bracket itself didn't budge an inch. The wires are sandwiched behind the down tubes and then are zip-tied behind the knee bolster. The Sirrius does block the left climate control buttons, but it only takes a second to pull the receiver off the bracket and then stick it back on, and besides, I don't touch the climate control from April to October (since I have the cabrio top down). It's not a perfect solution, but it lets me keep all 3 cup holders and still retain easy access to the SIrrius without mounting it to the windscreen.
