Navigation & Audio MFSW Inserts?
MFSW Inserts?
I"m hoping this is the forum to place this... (hmmm is this an electrical question, or audio/nav? or, is it a "marketplace" question?)
This could also be entitled "obscure OEM parts"...
Today's quest: MFSW *inserts* for the 3-spoke steering wheel. Yeah, just the switches (no. 2 and 3 in the pic below). Anyone ever try to get this part? Is there a source other than the dealer for obscure OEM parts such as this? I would also be interested in getting a look at the underside of these controls, if anyone happens to have a shot of that.
Any tips, leads, etc. are greatly appreciated.

(NOTE TO MODS: If this is in the wrong section feel free to move it appropriately! Thanks!)

What exactly do you want to do? People have purchased MFSW inserts to convert from 2-spoke to 3-spoke steering wheel. I can't imagine that you'd be able to find them except from a dealer (or junkyard). Many others have transferred them while installing a JCW steering wheel and could perhaps describe what the backside looks like.
CooperGear has actually taken them apart: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...98#post1902698
