On my second day of mini ownership, my VX9900 all of a sudden populated my mini with its phonebook. It didn't do it right away when I picked her up Saturday but by today (Monday) I got my address book all of a sudden. Needless to say, I was jazzed. Just an FYI for you EnV owners with bluetooth!

I can't get the phone book to sync at all. What did you do (i.e., what might I be doing wrong?).

Once in a while I place a call (numerically) and I hear absolutely nothing. I tried calling my wife earlier and got no sound, but when she called back we could hear each other fine. Then I followed up with a call to a friend and everything was OK. Strange.

I'm due for a new phone with Vz's "New Every Two", but the only phone I like there is the LG Voyager, but I'm leery because of the post in the compatibility spreadsheet. I wonder though - the phone is listed on BMW's compatibility list.

What to do, what to do...

Plus, my wife has the same phone as me and her battery is dying - she wants mine!

 

What did your phonebook say up until it populated? Mine worked at one point (Katana LX), but now it just says "No entries available."

 

What version of "Frimware" is you phone running on?

We need this info to be able to tell what is really going on.

I have tested the LG EnV with firmware versions 5,7,10 and none of them will work. Infact each time i upgraded the firmware i lost more functions each time. Now i did take all of these and flash them back to V3 but that still did not work.

As for a V3 firmware with out upgrade they did work.

So can you tell us wha the firm ware version is in your phone. Unfortunately i do not remember how to look it up in the phone.

One note for you if it is version 3 do not upgrade it.

 

I have an old Motorola E815 (~4 yrs old) and it syncs perfectly with the MINI - downloads the addressbook everytime.

I wanted to get the EnV, but before I purchased, I got my friend to try and sync his 1st Gen EnV and MINI showed an error - NO Address book.

My GF has the LG Venus and it won't sync up with the MINI either.

The Verizon people couldnt even guarantee that the LG EnV 2 would work with the MINI, so I passed on that phone also. Waiting for the BB Storm to become available.

 

I forgot to mention, I am using version V01 with my EnV (I resisted the temptation to "upgrade"). Now I'm just waiting to see how the Blackberry Storm works (since I'm up for the 2-year upgrade).
