I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 2007 Mini Cooper S with a factory installed Sirius Satellite Radio and Nav, and I'm starting to get curious about the radio's functionality. Does it have TiVo-like rewind? How many presets are available? Can you memory songs? Any other features? I searched for answers to these questions on this site and others, but nobody has addressed this issue. Please help!

 

I have the factory Sirius but do not have the NAV. I don't know if they function differently. I do have 12 presets for Sirius, and there is a nice "All" scan that lets you preview the artist name and song title before switching channels. I have not figured out any Tivo-like rewind function nor any memory song function.

When I logged onto the Sirius account that my MA had setup for me it indicated full lifetime subscription, so it looks like Mini got the subscription issue figured out.

 

I didn't get much of a response to my post wondering about the functionality of the factory-installed satellite radio, so I'm wondering whether there's a user's manual for the radio, and if anyone has seen it posted online.

 

I'm 99% sure the oem unit doesn't have any such features, just satellite radio.

 

There's not a separate user manual for it. On our MINI (which we just picked up yesterday), the satellite radio info is integrated into the main user manual (as is the nav info, etc.). The user manual is very large, and apparently, there's a separate version for nav cars and non-nav cars (as ours only has info about the nav version).

In our older 1st gen MINI, the nav manual was separate from the main user manual, etc.

EDIT: Although... There are separate manuals for both the iPod adapter and the Bluetooth prep options, and both of those include info for both the nav and non-nav MINIs in them.
