Dension IceLink Died!

My 2 year old Dension Ice link Plus died en route to MITMs. I called Dension. 1. Their USA division is closed and 2. the response has been, from Canada division, less than spectacular, so far. A rep suggested I un-plug it and re-plug it in to see if that would restart it.... NOPE!

Nearly $300 dollars spent and it only worked for 2 years. No complaints while it was working though, loved it. hum, my wife had Groani Mitchell on when it died, maybe that was the last straw for it.

Anyone else having this problem.

RB

@ least you got 2 yrs out of it, i had mine for about a yr and it crapped out on me. tried unplugging it, disconnected the car battery and reassembled.... nothing. further investigating showed that this seemed to be a popular problem, funny though cause all the writeups bout it seemed to be great.

In working order - this was a great product. The last product run was very problematic, causing all sorts of problems within ibus - a primary reason Dension is no longer in the US.

We have since moved to the DICE kit, which has the most of the same features and a much more stable platform.

Well I now have to eat crow... I found that the connection under the front carpet had come loose. As my wife said... "You're useless!" Two weeks on vacation with no musak!

Dension Update: Dension and I had come to very nice terms and were going to send me a new unit. They asked me to check that connection under the front carpet and that's when I found that it had come loose. They [Dension] didn't want the old unit back. I guess I could take it and sell it on Ebay but that wouldn't be right.

Thanks to all who responded. RB
