Eclipse AVN 5500 Install

Well I decided to add a double din Navi/DVD/CD touchscreen to my car. I went to a bunch of local audio shops that told me it was impossible. So I decided to do it myself. Along with my good friend Matt. We started by stripping down the whole front interior. We used a dremal tool to cut the plastic console into pieces. Wired the unit and then put it back together. Screwing the A/C controls 4 inches lower and mounting the toggles under. We had to shave down the A/C unit that controls the movement of the vents. After all the shaving and relocating we finished at 3 in the morning. All of the toggles, A/C, and Unit work amazing. Im very pleased with the unit and cannot wait to add an amp and sub.
Here are a few snap shots of the finished unit.

Your right, but at 3 am I wasnt going to keep trimming them haha Ill take care of it this weekend when I have some time off. ITs only out alittle because the dowtubes still need trimming u can see a sharpie mark on the drivers side on thats where its gunna be cut. Then it will look all flush.

Did you ever get the downtubes trimmed? I'm anxious to see the finished product.
