Radio High Speed Volume Setting

I have a 1 month old 2007 Cabrio (Pepper White /Sidewalk) and I'm loving it!!!

I am having trouble with one radio setting. The owner's manual for the Harmon-Kardin radio says that its capable of increasing the radio's volume automatically as the speed increases. I've read the instructions, sat in the car, and tried to adjust it ... but I can't figure it out. The trouble comes at the point where the instructions say something like "tap the button quickly." Tapping the button just seems to "scroll" you through all the options again. Am I tapping the wrong button? Do you need to be moving at high speed when you set it??? Thanks!!!

This has been covered and what you are reading is wrong. The standard system gets that speed adjust level setting and the Harmon Kardon does not.

However, it is said that the HK system is supposed to self adjust but I personally don't notice a big difference.

In the service menu there is a GAL setting and this is the sensitivity setting for the speed control. I have played with this on my HK and noticed no difference.

Bottom line is that I don't think there is a difference.

As above.... I forgot that the Cabrio hadn't changed. My mind is going...
