Nav screen menu's: Highlighting and colors??
Ok, has anyone else had problems figureing out which menu item is highlighted in certain screens? Mainly, the menu items that go from left to right along the top, and you scroll through them by twisting the joystick. Soem are green, and turn white when highlighted, some are orange and turn white when highlighted, some are orange and stay orange, just get brighter and possibly larger font, some are ....
I often select the wrong item simply cause what I think is highlighted is not.
They really need to fix this, it should all be the same color, and the highlight should be another color: Say all green, and white when highlighted. Particularly difficult is the symbols I think, they are all different colors...

This drives me nuts!!! I don't understand why they don't make them EASY to use, meaning BIG easy to see and select menu's. I have an Alpine Nav in my truck, $3000 unit top if line with touch screen. The screen is 7" wide by 5" tall, and yet the menu's buttons are 1/4" high by 1/2" long, at the bottom of an empty 7"x5" screen. WHY NOT MAKE IT BIG, FULL SCREEN???
So to make it worst, mini throws in extra colors to confuse it a bit more. I think they were trying to be cute with it. But it hurts the functionality of it...
I wonder if they can change the software and the look of the menu's with an update???

Lynn, go into the Nav Map screen. Now hit the joystick right to put you in the Nav map menu alont the top right of screen. Now scroll to the right thru the otpions (like Highway or no highway, info, traffice icon...). Some highlight different colors and it's NOT alsways easy to figure out what is highlighted.
They should have just used A REVERSE FILL HIGHLIGHT. in other words, the highlighted item should be black letters on a white background, it would stand out clear as dat then.
