Which ones work, if any? Dice, IceLink+, What about after martket head units? Kenwood, Alpine, etc? Do there adaptors work with the iPhone? Someone must have tried some combo by now.... Tell us all !

If I read correctly, the iPhone uses a difference interface system then the iPod, so none of the current iPod adaptors will work with the iPhone, but I could be wrong.

Any updates on the compatibility of the iPhone with Ice Link or Dice adapters?

Guys,

Considering this phone just came out Friday, I suspect it will be a long while (a couple of months... The Texan should have gotten that one.) before anyone has an adapter that will work. You have to give them time to research it as Apple didn't let anyone have it before release.

iPhone works with a standard dock connector, so it should work with anything that currently works with iPods

not that I can see. My iPhone works with all of my previous dock connector things, and my Nano works with the iPhone dock. If I only had a dock connector in my Mini to test it with...

My iPhone works perfectly in my MINI with my factory MINI iPod adapter. It works just like my iPod Nano does. The music also automatically fades out when I get a call.

Okay, having been in the high-tech industry for the last 20+ years, maybe that was an overly optimistic statement.

I'm just hoping that the iPhone works with my current installed base of Dice and Ice Link equipment.

I saw a comment to post on Engadget or iLounge that the Dension IceLink Plus worked. It popped up the caution about interference and wanting to go into Airplane mode when you first connected it to the dock port (where phone is turned off) but the device worked fine in either mode.

IceLink 1.1

iPhone doesn't seem to work with my Ice:Link 1.1
It asks to be put into flight mode. I will try pressing no and see what happens, maybe it works the same as the Ice:Link+, but I don't know.

Okay, it works if i press now, however i have to put it into ipod mode manually. Maybe someone will come out with a kit that will work with both the iPod and iPhone functionality. I guess i'll wait and see.

I'm using the Dension ice>Link: Plus with my iPhone, but in the "access iPod" mode (or whatever the verbage is on the menu). Note that you can't see the menu with the iPhone, so you'll have to use your "old" iPod to pull off that change. From there, once you dismiss the airplane mode prompt, it works just fine. You have full access to all of the iPhone features, you can use the buttons on the MFSW to change tracks, it pauses (eventually...) when you turn off the head unit, and it sounds fine! In short, it works every bit as well in this mode as my old nano does.

Just don't let anyone hit the disc 6 button!
