I just wanted to get confirmation on what the antenna arrangement is if I order the retrofit kit from Mini. I have read here that the new kits come with the magnet wart but it was unclear if this only happens when you order it for a car with a NAV system or if it's provided regardless.

I cannot answer what you will get when you order the kit but this might help. When I got my '06 I had ordered Sirius for it. I got the stick on antenna right behind the stock antenna on the roof.

I was a little disappointed but it didn't look that bad so I just did some research on it. What I found posted on here and Mini2 is that later in '06 MINI went to the stick on antenna based on reception issues with it being in the stock base unit. To be honest I find that explanation to be a little far fetched. I was never able to find any posts that mentioned reception issues with the factory Sirius setup.
