Navigation & Audio Bluetooth phone problem.
Bluetooth phone problem.
I just bought a used 2006 MCS cabrio that has the incredible $1200.00 phone system. It used clip-on holders in the arm rest. I want to use the system, but I'd have to get a phone compatible with the clip, which would be about $150.00. If I get another clip that is $150.00, so I might as well get the phone, since it would be compatible with the chip in my current phone and the service (Cingular AT@T). I am hearing impaired and can't wear a headset, because I then have eye glasses, hearing aide, and headset hanging off an ear. So I need a hands free system. Is there any other cheaper bluetooth solution that would allow me to use my current cheaper Nokia phone without the $1200.00 system or some other phone. Seems like upgrading the phone might be the simplest way to go. Hope I'm in the right forum.
If your not worried about the OEM system, there are many BT solutions. You can check here http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop...ducts&cat=10Or you can get something like the MOT IHF1000, handles up to 4 phones ... all voice input. I've had three now and they work fine including one in my MINI. If you dont want to install yourself, there are places thay will just come to your house and do it in the driveway
Best of luck

I am having one of these installed this week. Where did you put the buttons? Are you happy or would you put it somewhere else at this point?
