Navigation & Audio Focal Access 165A
Well...I installed them !!! Yesterday.
Powered by my Alpine 9857. No amp.
So far, I'm satisfied. The original Mini components are pretty good for factory speakers, but I found them a bit muddy. The Focals have much greater clarity so I'm picking up more detail. The tweets are just a tiny bit screechy, but I haven't finished tweeking with the Alpines various Bass Engine and BBE combinations. The factory rears are still in...I haven't decided about them yet. First choice would be Focal Access 6x9s.
I've read that the Focals need about 40 hrs of burn in, so I'll report back at some point in the future...but no buyers remorse so far.
