I hear you can run over a Ipod MINI with a truck and not hurt the flash drive system, but the regular 30 and 80gig ipods with video are more delicate because they use some sort of hard drive. Also confused about what to get because some day DICE will do video on the NAV screen . Is any of this true?

I think you mean iPod Nano. The mini also used a HD. I don't know about he getting run over part though, my friend sat on his and cracked the screen.

I've got a Nano 8GB that I've been using with the DICE. It's friggin fantastic! Sure, it might not hold as much as an 80GB iPod video, but you don't have to worry about it skipping everytime you hit a pothole.

I put a DICE, XM Direct from EAS in my GP stock stereo (not HK). I bought the 80gb IPOD and have had NO issues.

I have a 3rd generation 40GB (not installed yet) but used it for a while during jogging etc. Never had any skips or the likes. I think it has a 32mb flash buffer to prevent exactly that. Try to skip trough some songs in an album and you might see that depending on your file size you can jump pretty smooth and fast through about 3 or 4 songs and after that it takes bout 2 seconds for the next song to play. That's when the buffer gets reloaded.
