Good to hear the momemtum is building. Wish I could have been at the dinner. I just got a little bonus for all the work around the flood issues and planning on some of it going to upgrades. I look forward to some "testing" with you guys in the near future.
Saturdays are normally better days for me to get out and play.

 

Meant to pop on and post this weekend but had a rough Saturday (major migraine!), spent Sunday morning working on the house and then took a break for some motoring time.

Had great fun meeting everyone Friday! Wish more could have made it but I understand how hard it can be to rearrange life and have "free" time. Maybe next time, with a little more notice, we can pull together a good, hardy group! Something on a Saturday would be nice. . . .

 

Sorry about the migraine...Saturday/Sunday afternoons are generally better for me. Glad you guys made it and had fun. See ya next time...

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a Mini Clubman owner as of last April. It is a dark gray mini clubman (non-S). My name's John and my Mini's name is Remy (I misspelled my handle...oops). I heard about this group because Dawnmac72 (I believe it is her because I think we work in the same building) left a note on my window. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all of you.

We have a group drive planned for June 12th if you are interested. We will be going to the Montana Drive-In in Estill Springs. There will also be a pre-movie drive. There is a separate thread for the event so pop in and let us know if we can count you in. Hope you can make it!

 

Thank you for "tagging" my mini. It was a pleasent surprise when I left for lunch today. I'm gonna try to keep the ball rolling and pass it along to the next mini I see.

Regarding the movie night, I will have to check my calendar (wife) to see if we can make it on the 12th. It sounds like a lot of fun, so I hope we can.

I'm really glad to see the "tagging cards" are working out. I hope you can make it to our June Movie night. We are trying to get a new interest going in this club. We're all kinda scattered about the middle Tennessee area; so sometimes it's hard to get a group together, but we keep trying.

I hope I'll be able to make to the movie night, too. I also hope this club builds a lot of good momentum. I grew up going to BMW Motorcycle Rallies and Rides and am used to a culture of enthusiasts. When these things get going, they can be a lot of fun. And honestly, the enthusiast aspect played a big role in my choosing a mini.

Keep a lookout for me on the backroads in Frankling and in Cool Springs. I'm pretty good about waving to other mini's on the road when I see them, and I will be sure to keep a lookout for all of you!

I would love to see this club really take off.

I didn't buy my MINI for the culture but I dived in head first when I heard about it. I think to be an enthusiast you have to be a person who looks at their car as more than just a way to get from point A to point B (for example - MINI owners who don't wave). I've always enjoyed driving and think of my car as an extension of myself, an insight into my personality, if you will. That's why meeting other enthusiasts appeals to me, I guess. . .it's always nice to find other like minded people to share with.

 

I was giddy when I bought my Mini (poet and didnt know it)
and as I was driving down the road, the first Mini that I saw waved and smiled. I knew at that moment that there are others out there that understand what they have their hands on. Made me smile inside and out!

 

I live in the Nippers Corner area...Old Hickory Blvd/Edmondson Pike. Every afternoon while I'm out walking with my dog or sitting out front (he likes to watch traffic) SO many MINI's drive past (which is probably why he likes to hang out and watch traffic). Anyway, just thinking there's a great Japanese Steakhouse (Toyama) and a Las Palmas there...even an Applebees if everyone's into more mainstream cuisine. If noone wants to do dinner at least be on the lookout for a guy with a big yellow lab - feel free to honk & wave.

Well not a brand new mini owner. New to this site, got a little card on my windshield and thought I would check it out.
I have a 08 Mini Clubman - Chocolate Brown with black stripes on the bonnet and the checker board on the sun roof. Bought it new in 08 and love it! Best car I've owned. Would like to meet other Mini owners!
