The reason we wanted to implement it as an upload directly into NAM is so that if the images were removed from another hosting service they wouldn't kill your images in the garage.

Now one alternative might be to provide an option to enter a URL of the image you want to use and have the garage pull it over and store it on NAM with your garage. Would this be acceptable?

Let me see what it will take to implement that and I'll get it in as soon as possible.

Thanks!

So how does one view this "garage"? If you click on it, it returns to the main fourm page?

Mark's does that. So do some others.

But click on mine, for instance. It'll give you the main pic for the car. Click on that pic and it'll take you to that car's garage.

It should be providing a pop-up menu that shows, at the minimum, the car name or year/model, with or without a picture if that has been configured. Is this not happening? If so please provide a link to a thread where this is happening and tell me for what user.

Thanks

I didn't enter a caption for pic #1 (the main pic) or pic #4 (the third pic in the 'additional photos' section). When you click on pic #1 (with no entered caption) to enlarge it, it shows the caption for pic #2. When you click on pic #4 (with no entered caption) to enlarge it, it shows the caption for pic #3.

Pics #2 and #3 where I entered captions display the captions appropriately.
I identified a bug within the Lightbox code (what displays the images) and patched it. In order to get the fix be sure to clear your browser's cache.

Thanks!

I've implemented the ability to specify a URL to pull an image from so that it gets added to your gallery. This should allow you to enter a URL from Flickr, Photobucket, etc. and have it uploaded into NAM as part of your garage space.

Keep in mind that if you browse on your machine and select a file for upload and then enter a URL, the URL will be ignored.

Give it a try and post here if you encounter any problems.

Thanks!

When I click the garage link in people's posts it seems to send me to the top or bottom of the page (or refresh the current page) is this the same bug CR&PW&JB was talking about?

That was fixed the other day.

What browser are you using? Chrome is beta so we can't fully support it yet, there are some known issues.

Have you tried clearing cache and rebooting since this was fixed?

We can try and fix it for Chrome but being the browser is beta it's a moving target. Once Google has a 1.x version you can rest assured we will test every feature. Until then do as we are doing, report the issue to Google. That's why they gave it to all of us, so we can find issues they haven't at this point. Nothing like free Q/A testing.
