Running original MINI file with the MTH header?

HI

I have a MTH header with the MTH special tuner file.

My question is:

Can I run the MINI with MTH header with the original MINI file (not the MTH file)? e.g for warranty issues?
I heard this is bad for the cat and engine.
Anyone know if this is true?

Thank you

its OK, but you might get a p-code when cold starting around 0degrees C.. no-precat AND cold weather makes stock software think you don't have a cat.. under normal operating temps, it stock software will do just fine... (been there and done that) btw, you could ask the guys at MTH to send you a file with stock red line and throttle sensitivity so, you dont have to worry about warranty concerns and keep your gains..

Thanx for your reply

If I do that. Will I lost some performance gains? What will the throttle sensitivity do? Sorry, I am not an expert in this stuff

i am not sure if throttle sensitivity makes a difference in power. i know that it makes a difference when driving. if you take your car to the stealership they might be able to tell that your ECU has changed when 80%power is available at half pedal travel... keeping your stock setting will allow them to think its still stock. (you A/F maps would still be installed and making HP)

hope that helps

You can run the header with the standard SW for a while. No problem.
