MTH for MINI One D ?

Hi MTH fans!

Does anyone know if MTH makes ECU softwares for MINI One D (diesel in Europe)?

If they do, what are the gains, and does it increases the turbo boost?

I'm just curious!

MTH Standard File:

ONE D ca. 98 BHP

Thats up from 88 BHP. Standard file only though, no tuner for the D.

Thanks for the answer!

So i guess MTH software doesn't play on the turbo boost, like a VW-Audi ECU remap would do...?

Does it raise the +-4500rpm redline cutoff?

The ONE D is not a turbo diesel, so no boost to play off of. The ONE D produces most of its power at 3800 RPM.

I thought it was a Toyota 1.4L turbo-diesel engine in the One D?

With the gas price increases in the last weeks, I'm sure MINI would sell some here in North America!

I was wrong about it being a turbo. You'd think they'd list that on the web.

The boost cannot be controlled by the ECU, but can be tuned manually...

Thanks guys!

My curiousity is satisfied! lol

There are tons of VW TDi engines cars here, and some of them change the ECU software (or a chip) and get a lot of torque out of those diesel engines, while keeping great fuel economy figures. It would be awesome to get the same ammount of torque from the MINI One D.

oh if only the mini had a 1.9/2.0 TDi engine from a VW/Audi !!! VW/Audis are well tricked out with there diesel engines. Direct injection, pump-injector technology coupled with there VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) turbos...BMW could do well by adding a similar type

Only thing is the sound of those MINI diesels. It reminds me of a completely battered petrol engine with all valves ticking and rattling. Hmmm, must talk to Franz to create a soundfile……
