I still remember my six runs on the Dragon this summer. I had so much adrenaline rushing through me that I was still shaking hours after got back to Chattanooga. I'd like to get new wheels before I go back though.

Ooops, fixed it. I also realized that I alternated between, car names, screen names and real names, but hopefully I did not offend anyone.

i like how you snuck some pictures of my mini while i was out poor mini sat there almost all weekend.

 

Thats why i snuck out with the Short Bus and took him for a spin! remember?

 

please tell me you didn't let the bus sit all weekend? some of us don't even have ours yet and you tease yours by parking it near the dragon? for shame!

 

made three dragon runs in my mini, 3 of the guys drove it... but i had more fun riding with someone, rather than alone. Even better with people that knew the place better... and knew their cars better for that matter.

I took the mini out just enough.

 

It looks like everyone had a great time. The pix looked fantastic! Can't wait untill 2006 MOTD!

I was so upset that I couldn't make it. I had looked forward to it for a while, but I wound up being on a business trip all week, so the trip would've been difficult It made me sad

On a different note, Moskito, do you have an M Roadster or Coupe? If you do, I think you went to the Dragon with one of my friends a few weeks ago. Must be nice to live so close

no but they do like to molt onto the dragon every night! and make it slipery and crappy.

 

some places the trees were absolutely beautiful... can't remember the name of one of the trails we took :/ but it was amazing.

I have black 99 MCoupe and yes I met one of your friends on that weekend. The TN end of the dragon is a bit more than 100 miles from here, so getting there for a few runs is easy and takes less than a day.

Hey I made it in one of the pictures, it was a fun time. Was only able to make it up on saturday but still got in some good runs. We were sitting at a picnic table on the road to Fontana having lunch and I think it was a dark blue mini with black roof that went flying by and waved, it's air intake made a cool sucking sound when he came off the gas, can you tell me want brand of intake does that?

 

Cherohala Skyway

 

Well, yes there is the Cherahola Skyway but right before the Dragon (on 129 on the TN side) is actually the Chilhowee Dam and just past the Dragon in NC near Tapoco is the Cheoah Dam.

The BLU MENE is sndwave's MINI. He motored up from the Florida Panhandle. I motored down from Ann Arbor, MI with Maximusmini in his AWESOME twin-charged MCS, Vader. And....I drove her on Saturday evening......talk about some pull-power....whoa!!!!

It was great to meet you, Herbert! You are a lucky man to live so close to our beloved Dragon!
