We always sit opposite the pits on Saturday, to get good photos of the cars coming out for their runs. Our race tickets are for corner 10 terrace. You get to see the cars brake for 8, go slow through 9-10 and then blast full-throttle onto the oval. Can't wait for the race!

The first post has been updated to include a link to a map for the park.

Please be advised this is a city park and alcohol is NOT permitted.

Plus, there's a big screen right in front of the stands. I've had them since the first year and refuse to give them up. Qualifying, on the other hand, is best enjoyed in the upper stands opposite the pits - the sound is incredible!

See you guys at the cookout - and more.
We're in the North Vista for the race. We see the end of the front straight braking into 1, all the way to seeing them down the back straight. Usually, Friday is wander day for us, different spots, vendors etc. Saturday we normally sit close to our assigned seats since we like the location so much.

Thanks to MINItencan IMS is mailing our Corral pass and we should be meeting a bunch of you that weekend.

Cheers,
A_Sr.

Very good, so I will see some of you in the NW vista Sunday, and others at the paddock on Saturday. And probably a lot in the car corral. I too have the pass coming in the mail. Friday is out for me though... I have to work... Shucks.

Hi guys. I plan on driving up from Wash, DC. with a friend for the race and would love to hook up and roll with some Mini's. I just picked up my JCW convert. a few weeks ago and can't wait for the road trip. I will order my tickets for all 3 days for us but should I buy a parking pass as well in order to park in the car corral? All help is appreciated. I am dying to hear 19k rpm. It's been 2 yrs since I've been to Montreal. Hopefully the Ferrari's can shine at Indy.

You don't have to "buy" the car corral pass. You need to let them know when you order your tickets that you are a MINI club member and would like a car corral pass.

Anyone going to the race also going to PKI the day before for the Italian Job roller coaster event?

Glad I ordered NW Vista tix, sounds like the place to be for the best view.

Everyone,
I just updated the original post (at the top of the page) with the final car cruise details. I will e-mail all the registrants next week for confirmation. See you at the cruise and cookout!

10 days and counting til the race. I was at the track on Tuesday and they were working hard at setting up the road course and temporary grandstands. I hope we will have a lot of MINI's for the Saturday cook out, it should be a good time.

I received my tix and car corral pass yesterday. The pass came with instructions for the various groups to contact some number to arrange for a police escort into the track. Anyone know if we are going to meet someplace Sunday morning to get ushered in?

In past years they have met at a given location for the police escort. But I do not know were that is to be this year. It had been at the zoo.

The MINIs will rule the NW vista! I think some Ohio folks are doing both events. But that is a lot of motoring, and even more sun.

Not too late

If you haven't signed up yet it is not too late! There are still spots open for the cruise and the shopping for the cookout isn't until Friday.

Let's have a great MINI showing  .

F1 drive into the track

We (the ones without a police escort) are going to meet at the Target parking lot (465 & 38th St.) Sunday morning to drive to the track together. If you are interested in joining us be there at 7AM. Yes, 7AM.

Hope to see you all there!

I still havent purchased my tickets Been riding my bike too much .

Anywayz, I always sit in the NW Vista (saw the dreadful incident of Ralf taking out JPM on corner one ), but a previous post mentioned the Corner 10 Terrace. So, it that just a terrace then or are they grand stand seats? I wouldn't mind a bit of change this year, but if all the MINI folk are in the NW vista, then.....

Oh, and is there a way a single guy can get a car corral pass? Or is there anyone out there who hasn't bought their tickets yet that want to get in with me

Corner 10 Terrace is a grandstand that is very close to the track. If you go down to the fence, the cars are about 20 yards away, which is really cool and LOUD!

You will enjoy them; I love seeing the cars up close. It's a great place to get close-up photos as well.

I hope you can join us for the BBQ and Car Cruise on Saturday as well. All the info is at the top of this thread.

Start your engines!

After going through all the emails, if I have counted right the count for the cookout is at 54 people and 28 MINIs!

Keep the emails coming...........
