the MIB crew will be there in thought. Kinda hard to be there when your MINI is not even scheduled to be built for another three weeks!

good times for meeting:

I'll cross post them here:

Friday Breakfast meetup

I thought maybe we could at least start with an initial meetup on Friday and wing it from there? How does breakfast sound? meeting up around 9:30am? Is the Crossroads of Time open for breakfast or should we plan for Fontana/Tapaco?

Plans:

9:30 am

The Home Place
Hwy 129 and Hwy 72
(past Tabcat Bridge about 10 miles beyond the Dragon, Tennesse side)

Friday Dinner Meetup

I know some folks aren't planning on coming in until later Friday... anybody want to meet up for dinner around 7 pm somewhere? I've got to eat & I'm only familiar with the BBQ place for restaurants -- any other suggestions?

7 PM (ish)

Sweetwater BBQ
176 Sweetwater Rd
Robbinsville, NC 28771
(828) 479-6862

Also,

sndwave and myself will be rolling through the Dragon at approximately 9:30pm on Thursday. We are planning on meeting up with koolmini and possibly others at the dragon overlook at that time.

Let the Dragon Fall!

I'd suggest the jacket!

Due to the many variables of long distance motoring, our arrival time at the overlook thursday night is just a best guess.

Well I plan to be there before that so I guess if you'll meet Andrew there, I'll be driving with you.

Andrew, if we leave Bham at about 2 PM and we have to drive 3 / 4 hours to drive, loose an hour in time shift, that still makes it 7 PM.

Now I can think 7/8 is a good time, but 9:30?

I do believe you and I will be making better time than that.

If not, you'll be staying in that van down by the river.

I guess I was figuring that we would be absolutely out of town by 3:00, 5 hours to drive, and then some time to stop to eat. . .

But you are right, we will probably get there a little earlier especially because they have shortened the interstate between here and there

I don't think they shortened it, I think you and I are just going to skip over the parts we don't need.

Josh, There will be ample opportunity to wash Lucy at Fontana. If you bring your bucket, soap, and microfibers, etc., Fontana provides a hose and we usually set up a car wash area.

i just washed my mini last night, and of course instead of the benz being the front yard, my stepmom parks her SUV in it's spot. I was pushed over a little farther than normal, and tree pooped all over my mini My wheels are already filthy again. I need to stop driving so much.

Ok, nevermind. I can live with an "experienced" mini

*i'll be on the road in 22 hours!
