The SVT Cobra club will be around the Dragon that weekend. Ya'll show 'em how it's done will 'ya??

Unfortunately, we will be in ATL for something very unexciting so will probably not be around (maybe back by Sunday)

 

What are those and won’t they be in the way?

 

It's something they call Snakes and Dragons. And yes you should probably be even more careful than you were on Miata weekend because I think these guys are even slower

28 is NO kool-down road if you're riding shotgun with Ryephile in MM2!!!! OMG! I will NOT mention the speeds he attained...you may PM me for details! 28 is an AWESOME road! Runs along the Tennessee River...so pretty, so twisty, and yes...there ARE a few straightaways!

The Mustang Cobra club will be there? Doh. I had a '93 Cobra once upon a time. It did great burnouts, but even with Steeda suspension tweaks it still handled like total crap. I fear QueenB is right, they'll be even slower (or, dare I say; Way Slower!) than the Miatas

Anyway, I still look forward to seeing the fall colors and hanging out. Oh yea, The Dragon is fun too :smile:

Well... we've got six people & five MINIs staying at the motorcycle cabin. It sounds like a couple more AtlantaMINIs will be staying at the Fontana.

 

It's set, we will be down Thursday late morning! Will be coming from Southeastern KY, so will be a short drive to get there. Can't wait to do the Dragon!!

How do you get to be a member? We're considering going.

 

You fill out the membership form at the front desk at Fontana Village. They will mail you your card about a month later. Funny thing is the card is only good for a year Jan to Dec, so you have to keep going there every year if you want to stay in the discount club.

They also give discounts to car clubs on the spot. If we have enough people show up you may get a nice % off your room.

no really, just tell them on the phone when you make your reservations that you would like to be a member of the "Dragon Slayers Club" and receive the 25% discount
