Yeah, what Dominic said! Lets just motor together (or in sub-groups).

This started out as trying to get a bunch of the Phoenix owners to do a group run to Vegas for a weekend. That would have been great. Now there is the possibility of making it a huge event. that would also be great. The biggest problem I have with a huge event is that I wouldn't get to do everything.

I'm interested in track time if I can get training at the track. Pahrump is about an hour out of LV. I work with people who commute here from Pahrump. There is little accomodation there since the Pahrump Nugget burned to the ground a couple of months ago, meaning if the track event is more than 1 day, attendees would likely have to drive back and forth to LV anyway.

As for group rates, 10 rooms is the minimum. The more rooms you have, the cheaper the rates get. If there is a group doing track stuff, the Silverton Casino is right on the road to Pahrump off of I15.

Sounding Good...

the Track might be 2 days... so you could opt for one or both... We'll see what my guy says about it.

It can be huge...if we work together.

10 minimum, I doubt that'd be a problem.... problem would be more or less... who has enough room?

You guys from PHX.... I think it'd be cool if you stopped at Hoover dam and shot a pic of all your MINI's on the DAM.... and title it ... THOSE DAM MINIS.... Of course you'd have to cross LONDON Bridge on your way up or back home...

SoCal will be rep'd via MightyMiniZ and hopefully plenty of the Euro Guys will make it... they do their track events often and FEB will fit their schedules perfectly.

I know it's about an hour away from Vegas... but ... we will all have travelled that far up anyhow... what's an extra 2 hours outta the day... especially on the track or the show.

It will be fun.

GoFast!

Vegas in mid-October would be awesome!! I am planning to fly out there with my family during that time frame. Probably would not have my MCS as I live in VA unless I made a long road trip out of it but it would be cool to meet other owners .

out of curiosity, I called the Pahrump Nugget and they are open and operating. According to the guy that answered the phone "it's always a lucky day the Pahrump Nugget" it was the Mountain View Hotel that burned down, not the Nugget.

And MINI's on the dam would be an awesome pic! I'll have to remember that one on my next trip!

How about a group fun run to "the dam" when we do Vegas? Anyone interested? If you haven't taken the dam tour, you're missing most of the fun of seeing this wonder of the world.

It's coming together... Stay Tuned..

We're hoping to have so much stuff happening that your head will spin off.

And so far, I've found Bulk Room Rates in Vegas for $54 per night.... this may change as soon as their sales person calls back with a better rate.

And I hope none of you mind additional Euro's there.... Like the Standard Porsche, Audi, VW, BMW, Benz, etc.

Maybe someone has contact with a classic euro club and we can see some sweet Austin's and MG's Etc.

And I will officially open my mailbox to vendor Inquiries. If you are close enough to Vegas, and want to showoff or pitch some merchandise at the track attenedees or even sponsor the "Party" on Sat Night.... Let me know.

Re room rate: Sweet! I love that price! If it gets lower, even sweeter still.

Keep up the excellent work Doug!

Room Rates-
I still have some more locations to check... let's hope for lower!

And my goal is to get you all the LOWEST possible Track Fee. I'm working it below $100 and Hopefully less than lower than that!

Also, some of Team MightyMiniZ will be there to show off some new product....

AND, don't forget.... surprises.

I just talked to the Palms ($379 a night!), the Monte Carlo ($179 a night) and the Silverton. Silverton is on the road that you take from Vegas to Pahrump, about 1 mile from Las Vegas Blvd (the Strip) and right off I15.
The Silverton's group rate is $55/night/room for the weekend, and if anyone wants to extend their stay, $30/night/room for sunday to thursday.
Again, group rates kick in at 10 rooms or more.

I spoke with the Track Folks and Instructors and they are looking into LVMS as the Venue of Choice. Upon their suggestion, this may be the optimum location for this type of event, and they say that track is FANTASTIC!
Meaning, all events at LVMS except for the Dam Run and Party.

Keeping Vegas Days In Vegas!

More Details coming soon!

LVMS would be almost too easy of a decision if one had to choose between those two locations...

I think Agro has his eye on some other roads with lots of twisties on them, so just in case people don't wanna be cooped up in Veags, they'll have plenty of options. I know I'm going to be out doing more motoring around Nevada than actually staying put in Las Vegas. Now, that's not so say I won't be cruising the Strip or sitting down for some gambling action or heading out to see a show or two. There's plenty of time and things to do. There'll be enough diversity in the activities to cover the interests of nearly anyone.

I've heard nothing but fgood things about the LVMS. Never been there but it's supposed to be a nice facility. And it has its own attached casino, for those who care about that kind of thing.

This is starting to sound good; casino at the racetrack, run to the Hoover Dam, track time. Sounds like a MINI Meet to me. I'm in.

One of the best places for scenery outside of Las Vegas is Valley of Fire national park. It's Gorgeous! I was there in March a couple of years ago. Would love to go back in the MINI!

That's one of the places Agro has mentioned. I know we'll be doing a fun-run thru there!

>>The way I see it, the more TYPES of activities there are, the more interest might be generated for a Las Vegas trip. That way, those who don't like cruising the Strip can always go out to the track event. Those who don't like to take their MINIs onto a track, can go out and motor on some beautiful Nevada roads, take a tour of Hoover Dam, etc, etc.

I wouldn't mind a day-trip over to Death Valley if anyone else is up for that during the LV trip! I'll volunteer to help organize that part and will provide maps.

I do, but they're on old-fashioned film. I'll have to scan them in before I can post them. Here are some from a Valley Of Fire web site to get you started:

Feb is the perfect time of the year to dash through Death Valley!

Death Valley, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire.... Possible Track... That's a lot of motorin!

Oh Yea, almost forgot ... Sat Night party... fun stuf ... will anyone sleep?

We will need to organize a Vegas Photo Sessions, On the Strip .... From atop the Bally Bridge....Loading the Strip with all of us... On the Dam, In the Valley of Fire/Death valley Sunset Cruise Photos/Track/ Drive up High Speed Photos....Would be a great set of Postcards!

And didn't I see R2D2 get BotJacked in the Valley Of Fire a Long Long time ago???

Fun is what MINI is to me. I've had my MCS on the track before and can say what a blast! Remember track time is motoring time

Track time, that would be Premium Motoring Time.
