I'm putting what amounts to a feeler out on this one, as it's a bit of a strange situation. Mods, let me know if this belongs elsewhere.
Legally, this is my R53. I sold it to a coworker 3 years ago for $6000, and it was in damn good shape at the time. Turns out he never changed the title into his name, nor updated the registration or tags.
He's being deployed, and asked me to sell it for him, for a fee of course. Of course I could 100% take possession of the car and not pay him a dime, legally, but that's not right at all.

Here's how it sits now. It's not the worst situation, but it's far from where it was. The hood is the most glaring thing from pictures. He had it detailed, and the detailer apparently tried to cut and buff the carbon hood.
This guy was also a smoker, and got an interior detail with an ozone treatment. There are a few paint defects, but the paint is in okay shape overall.
Now, it drives great, the supercharger whine and exhaust note are great. Driving down the highway with the windows down, it's perfect.
At idle, there is an as yet undetermined noise that might be the supercharger, but it's quite loud, though does not seem to cause any other symptoms.

This was kind of dropped on me last night, so just getting into it.
