2006 Mini Cooper S with a rare limited slip differential (LSD) option from the factory. 1.6L supercharged engine with 6 speed manual transmission. I searched for months to find an 05-06 with the LSD and have enjoyed the car immensely for the past 2 years but my work schedule hasn't given me the time to enjoy the car as intended and I picked up something a little more client/colleague friendly.
Factory options include sunroof, Xenon self leveling headlights, and most importantly the LSD
Dark Silver exterior with space cloth interior.
I bought the car from Bloomfield BMW in NJ with 72k, at that time the only modifications being the pulley, cold air intake, and i'm told an upgraded clutch. I have not verified the clutch, but it works as it should and does not slip. Currently has 90,9XX.
The good: religiously maintained since I purchased it. The bad: it is a street parked car and has more than its share of bumps and bruises. Both bumpers are scarred, not very noticeable dent on front hood where someone with a trailer hitch bumped it (right next to grill so hard to tell), ding on passenger door where some idiot lady banged it with a cab door, and scratches on the plastic fender trim. Would make a great track or auto-x car for someone.
Tons of upgrades and maintenance in the past 2 years:
Modifications
- Alta supercharger pulley
- Alta Cold Air Intake
- Alta stainless steel exhaust
- 380cc injectors
- Alta air diverter with water spray
- MSD coil and wire package
- R56 front big brake kit (same as R53 JCW calipers) - EBC yellowstuff pads front - Hawk HPS pads rear
- H&R cup kit
- Fixed front camber plates/shock tower reinforcement
- Ireland Engineering rear sway bar and end links
maintenance and mod timeline:
72k - H&R cup kit & Ireland Engineering rear sway installed
76k - belt tensioner replaced with OEM and tensioner stop installed. Idler pulley also replaced.
78k - Alta exhaust and Bosch 0280158096 380cc injectors installed. Injectors are EV14 tech (industry's most recent tech features) and installed with the proper adapters
81k - low mileage r56 front calipers installed - full brake system flush with ATE super blue fluid performed at this time.
84k - powerflex lower control arm bushings installed
89k - new O2 sensors installed. Had a secondary sensor failure and decided to replace both at the time as a preventative measure.
90.6k - due to CV boot tear, both front axles replaced with 24k mile OEM units. Transmission gear oil replaced with Red Line MT-85 gear oil. At this time the ABS sensors were also replaced. One had become fouled by the leaking CV joint so I replaced both as a preventative measure. Additionally, strut top mounts were replaced with new Lemforder / Boge units, new front rotors installed, and brand new 215/45-17 NITTO Neo Gen tires mounted and balanced on the OEM S-lites.
Car is in Rockland County, NY (35 min north of the city)

Cheers,
Jason
