E39 M5 for R53 Mini

Year: 2001
Make: BMW
Model: M5
Price: $18900
Mileage: 135000
Color: Carbon Black on Caramel
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): SouthEast

A brief history:

Car was purchased in 2011 buy an enthusiastic guy who had recently finished dental school and wanted to fulfill that dream of the e39 m5. Unfortunately he drove the car for apprx. a year before the car suffered rod bearing failure. He decided to part ways with the car due to the costs quoted to replace or rebuild the engine. I purchased the car in Sept. 2012 at 124k mi. and brought it home to New Orleans to rebuild it. Engine was COMPLETELY disassembled and rebuilt using OEM parts - no expense was spared, parts cost alone was over $5k. The hard parts remained (block, heads, pistons, rods, crank etc.) but ALL wearable items replaced. While I was at it, I decided to go the OEM squared setup with the wheels too. Here's a brief list:

VAC piston rings
VAC coated rod bearings and rod bolts
VAC coated main bearings, thrust bearings, and main cap bolts
VAC oil pump gear kit (another known weakspot)
Block and heads were acid dipped to start with a clean surface
Heads leak tested - both were perfect - valve seals replaced because I'm ****
New OEM timing chains (lower and upper) and oil pump drive chain
New OEM timing chain guides (all guides including oil pump chain guide)
New OEM timing chain tensioner
New OEM gaskets/seals for EVERYTHING; literally looked through every parts fiche page and ordered EVERY o-ring and EVERY crush washer
Radiator and oil cooler were flushed to inspect for any flakes of the old failed bearing
New radiator hoses (old ones were not leaking, but anything 12years old and rubber should get replaced)
New A/C dryer (as the system has to be evacuated for engine removal)
VANOS units were rebuilt using OEM seals and gaskets

I have nothing to hide on this build. No corner was cut, nothing half assed in the least. If you have ANY questions, please do ask. I could chat about m5 stuff all day. The build was finished in March of 2013, I've put 11k miles on the car since including 2 road trips. The car has been flawless and amazing (now at 135k). This is the chance to own one of the last great M cars without being paranoid about rod bearing failure, vanos failure, etc etc. I had every intention of keeping this car long term, but I'm nearly finished my engineering degree and in an effort to resist student loans, I need to part with the car. I'll let the photos describe the condition of the chassis.

Transport: I'm not at all opposed to shipping the car, but the buyer will have to make arrangements. I would be happy to meet someone within a 100mi radius or so to deliver the vehicle.

Price: 18,900 or best offer

I'm looking for a good condition (doesn't have to be perfect, these cars are getting on in age, I understand) 2003-2006 Mini Cooper with manual gearbox. I would prefer an S, but not completely necessary. The year/mileage/trim of the Mini would decide how much money in addition to the car would have be traded for the M5. I'm happy to negotiate. Don't hesitate to ask questions!
