FS: 1973/1990 Austin Mini, $12,000 (FL)
Hey guys, bought this little gem back in October 2006 and proceeded to do a restoration that spanned over 16 months. Vehicle registered as a 1973 but is actually a 1990 model:

Originally a 998cc with a 3-speed auto, the new engine is 1275cc, comes bolted to a 4-speed manual gearbox, and comes with new everything. You name it, I've probably replaced it. Carburetor, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, clutch, slave cylinder, radiator hoses, battery, etc. etc. Too much to list.
The vehicle currently does not run, as I seem to be having a minor fuel leak on the 32/36 2-bbl carb I installed on it. Paid $230 to have the carb rebuilt (have receipts) and found that I still have the same leak. Whether this problem requires further work on the carb, or outright replacement is yet to be determined. But aside from this, the vehicle needs NOTHING else to get it going.
Still, my circumstances have changed and I need money and a larger car. Have $6,000 invested in parts and labor (have all major receipts of proof of work done), asking only $12,000 firm.
For that price you get a vehicle with a great body, Mini Cooper-style paint sceme, wide tire conversion, right hand drive configuration, and a great interior. Doing all those modifications to a standard Mini would be a costly exercise. Carb problems aside, the engine cranks strongly, and (when the carb was working properly), did not smoke.
