Didn't quite understand. You mean the son keeps taking the keys to the boxter you mean?
If so, I would imagine it's not so much that his son likes the way it drives as much as he likes the badge that's on the hood. For a kid it's much more impressive to drive up in a porsche (even a non S model) than to drive up in a Mini. Wouldn't you agree? Not that I agree with the mentality, but I can see that happening.

Nope... The dad keeps taking the Mini.

the only thing the Porsche has going for it, well two things, really, is it's a drop top, and it has better balance.

But it's just not as fun to drive. The base boxter is a bit underpowered (at least his year was, don't remember what it was). Just because it has the Porsche shield on it doesn't mean it's that great a car.....

I had a 944 for 6 tanks of gas, it was tired (And real cheap... Sold it 6 weeks after I bought it to a friend for what I paid). And it had the balance thing going for it, and I kept a Porsche keyring. But it too wasn't that great a car. Now the 944 Turbo or S4 would have been another story. The nice thing with it is it had a completely flat torque curve! Pulled the same no matter the revs!

Obviously, but that's not quite in the same price bracket. I would just jump to the Exige S personally.

I hope the key work there is try. It is going to be fairly difficult to get under the car, but I will try. FWIW, I was under the car at the beginning of spring when the car was going onto a chassis dyno and the underside was really clean and rust free.

Best of everything with your GP. Too bad you have to sell. It's a special car, and I'm sure there is someone out here who appreciates the really unique aspects (GP) of our unique cars (any MINI).

If I could part with my 2003 MCS I'd go for a GP such as yours way before a "new 2007 MINI". Be glad you spent some time with one. Most of us are jealous.

I think I maybe interested. So, I totaled my MCS and should be getting buyout soon. I am considering GP but that means I will pay 2 notes. THIS IS "CURRENTLY" THE LOWEST PRICED GP THAT I HAVE FOUND. Although, it also has most miles, and minor flaws, but 29k vs. 31k vs. 33k cars posted here on NAM. I love MINIWorks but 4.5K more

MINI GP for sale. Roof # 1387
1K miles, $27K US
Call Andrew direct at : 203-661-2133

This one just sold for 28k with 1k miles, and in mint condition. Your asking 30k with 16k miles with some damage? Good luck on that one.

Dude I got all hot and bothered but its sold
Guys post some more postings of better examples with no damage
I have not found a cheaper one, I know it has damage and the most mile but that is all I can afford, unless some of those guys with the GP for 31.5 and 33k are willing to match this price.

There was a GP (#1894) auction on eBay that just ended. Nice looking car, no damage, 21k miles, buy-it-now price was $30k. Bidding ended at $21,650. -no sale.

Do you still have GP?
Pics of damage? Are they very expensive to repair or just did not bother?
What are you asking for it now?
