Colorado Conclave this weekend!
Colorado Conclave this weekend!
Hi All
Just a reminder that the 29th annual Colorado English Motoring Conclave is this weekend - Sept 15 & 16. I have a nice drive (I believe at least) laid out for the tour on Saturday and as always, Oak Park will be the scene for the car show on Sunday.
It sure would be nice to have a good turn out of MINI's there!

I would love to have the dilemma of having to open up new / additional classes for MINI's as right now we only have Classic and New (I got them to remove BMW). but I would love to be 'forced' to opening Roadster, Clubman, Hardtop, Coupe, Convertible and Countryman classes. We should be able to get more MINI's than MG's on the field!!!!
Hey getting them to remove BMW was a great first step.
We will see what this years event gets on the grass, then we can see if we should go beyond MINI.
A few of us plan on being down for the day.

Good turnout, lots of folks came by to visit, we had some of our nice MINIs on the grass.
In our New MINI grouping, prizes went to 1st Place, Heidi/Frannie 2012 MINI Roadster, very well deserved.
2nd Place - Red Hardtop - Alan help with the name.
3rd Place - Alan/Diane N, very spiffy 2008 Sidewalk all nice an clean, I think it was the sheepskin seat covers, gets them Brits every time.
Pictures up later: I will post a link.

The last count I heard was that we had close to 500 cars and bikes on the show field. It was another great event and I thank you all for your support. I did make it back through the whole show field fairly early in the day. I loved the Blue Roadster.
For once I did not have to deal with any drama the whole day. I hope the anti New MINI sentiments have finally faded into history. There was a 2012 Jag XF on the field and they are owned by Tata Motors of India now so I do not want to hear anymore grief from Anyone about who owns MINI.
Again, thank you all for your support and I hope to see you and more next year for our 30th anniversary.
